Moving forward.

Missing you ain't easy. It takes a lot of time to recall why I will miss you so badly. The silence isn’t so bad until I look at my hands and feel sad. The spaces between my fingers Are right where yours fit perfectly. When I tell you that I’ll miss you, it doesn’t mean I’ll never get over you. It just means I wish I didn’t have to. You can't decide how someone will go about loving you. t's easy enough to mistake being grateful for being in love. It's hard to forget you when every song on the radio reminds me of you. It's hard to admit but you're always feeling alone. A few miles down as the streets count backwards, I realize it's true. Everything reminds me of you. The truth is unless you let go unless you forgive yourself unless you forgive the situation, unless you realize that the situation is over, you cannot move forward. Yesterday is not ours to recover, but tomorrow is ours to win or lose.  Grief is never something you get over. The art of war is simple enough. It's time to say goodbye, but I think goodbyes are sad and I'd much rather say hello. To help yourself, you must be yourself. Bad things do happen and how I respond to them defines my character and the quality of my life. In the process of letting go, you will lose many things from the past, but you will find yourself. Even if you fall on your face, you’re still moving forward. The only thing a person can ever really do is keep moving forward. Take that big leap forward without hesitation, without once looking back. Simply forget the past and forge toward the future. Change has to come for life to struggle forward. To let go is to release the images and emotions, the grudges and fears, the clingings and disappointments of the past that bind our spirit. We must be willing to let go of the life we’ve planned, to have the life that is waiting for us. Some people believe holding on and hanging in there are signs of great strength. However, there are times when it takes much more strength to know when to let go and then do it. There’s an important difference between giving up and letting go.
