Reviews PinkOctopus Digital Agency

Performance reviews are a great way to boost productivity and engage with your team in the company. Sometimes, however, it’s not quite that simple. Especially when you’re faced with having to give a company or an employer a negative review but it’s not an option either. A business needs to manage their reputation and online reviews are critical to referrals.
While this can be uncomfortable, a negative performance appraisal need to be done correctly, can have a positive outcome, motivating the future employee to resolve their issues and even improve productivity. You may be surprised to learn that how you perceived a situation or issue is different from how it is in reality. Are there challenges to the role that you were unaware of? Are interpersonal issues with the boss hampering performance? Bosses here are taking things very personal which is unprofessional I would say. Working here doesn't have effective focus on developing strengths rather than focusing on weaknesses and this rule of thumb should be applied to not-so-great performance reviews. There is no one coaching an employer to develop on their strengths can absolutely help them to perform at a higher level and give them confidence to do so. The company doesn't have correct behaviours.
I worked at PinkOctopus Digital Agency full-time. Not a good experience.
  • Pros: I would just say the company is just okay, relationship between staffs only is good but not the bosses.
  • Cons: Sometimes maybe stressful depends on the workload. No job description provided for each task. Company with 3 staff include the boss, which means 2 person in back-end. Extra workload, Extra OT and did not get paid off. Benefits for staff not much. No work-life balance, lack of management skills from the boss to handle each task and to give datelines. Everything is kinda last minute and need to rush out.
Advice to Management

Sometimes appreciation from the management is very important in order to keep employee long in the company. This company is about 1 year and many employee (about 9) left the company. Please make sure that when you make promises do fulfill it, don't just talk and no actions taken.
